One Pan Pork Chops with Apples

Ingredients

3-4 pork chops (I used boneless but can use bone in)

Salt and pepper

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1-2 apples ( depending on size) cored and sliced to 1/4” thickness

1/2 - 1 onion, thinly sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 Tablespoon sage, minced ( or any other fresh herbs)

1/2 cup chicken broth, water or wine

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Directions

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat oil in a large skillet or cast iron pan and brown the pork chops for about 5 minutes on each side. Set aside.

Add in apples, onion, garlic and sage and cook for a few minutes, until the apples begin to soften. Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Stir in the chicken broth and optional mustard or balsamic vinegar, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.

Add in the pork chops and continue to cook until the pork chops are cooked through.
