Baked Pears



Simple but elegant dessert, perfect for entertaining. You can also top with ice cream or yogurt.


To make ahead: Bake (about 5 minutes less time), cool and refrigerate. When ready to serve, pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes to warm.


Baked Pears


Ingredients Ripe pears cinnamon or pumpkin spice butter - optional honey, maple syrup or brown sugar pecans or walnuts


Directions


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a baking dish.

Cut the pears in half lengthwise. ( you can also cut a sliver off the bottom so they sit upright). Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop out of seeds and transfer the pears to the baking sheet.


(I added a little cube of butter in the center but that’s optional).


Top with cinnamon, nuts, honey or sweetener and bake for 30 minutes.


Serve as is or top with ice cream or yogurt.
